Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 16.
Clifford, of Hinesville, and the former Jean Hollingsworth of Sardis, were married Aug. 16, 1959, at Sardis Baptist Church by Jean's father, the Rev. J. Troy Hollingsworth.
Mr. Johnson retired from coaching at Bradwell Institute after 30 years. Mrs. Johnson retired after teaching for 32 years and working in the school system for an additional 10 years. Both teach Sunday school at Hinesville First United Methodist Church.
Their children are Hal and Lynn Johnson and Kenny and Lisa Saitow, all of Macon. They have three grandchildren, Meagan and Tripp Johnson and Maury Saitow.
