Jones and Lucy Peebles will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 4 from 3-5 p.m. in the social hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Hinesville.
All friends and family are invited.
The Peebles were married in Alamo on March 3, 1957. They moved to Athens to complete their education. The University of Georgia Extension Service employed Jones for 29 years. Lucy was with Coastal Communications for 35 years.
The couple has two daughters, Debbie Peebles of Hinesville and the late Melisa Peebles who died in 1982.
They are members of the First Presbyterian Church.
