Michael R. Boatswain was born at 8:09 p.m. April 9 to Patrice Boatswain of Hinesville and Michael Whitford of Hinesville.

Born at Liberty Regional Medical Center, baby Michael weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 21 inches.

The baby’s maternal grandparents are Mario and Cheryl Boatswain of Hinesville. The baby’s paternal grandparents are Dennis and Linda Whitford of Dumont, N.J.

The baby also is welcomed by sister Essence Gantt and brother Amari Gantt.
