Liberty County Schools will be closed Thursday for all staff and students, according to the district's website. Classes are expected to resume on Friday at the regular time.
Classes were also canceled Wednesday because of a winter storm that blew through the area.
Also Long County recently announced on its website that Thursday classes have also been called in Ludowici.
Representatives of Fort Stewart schools and FPCA were unavailable for comment.
Liberty's Assistant Superintendent of Operations John Lyles said the decision was made because of expected weather conditions overnight.
"Based on information from weather and transportation experts, dangerous road conditions are expected until the sun and temperature rise," he said.
