Revised home alone policy

The revised home alone policy for Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield will have an impact for families who'll have children attending the Fort Stewart DoDEA schools in the school year that starts Aug. 6.

Students under age 12 will require close parental/adult supervision at all times when students are walking to and from school. Children 5 and younger will not be left alone at any time.

Plan ahead to ensure your compliance with the revised policy. To assist with your before and after school care requirements, the CYSS School Age Services program on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield provides after-school programs. To register a child in the SAS program, call CYSS Parent Central Services, 767-2312 on Stewart or 315-5425 on Hunter.

To view the policy, visit www.stewart.army.mil/acs/curfew.asp.
