Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lillard of Lyons announce the engagement of their daughter, Rena, to Jeffrey Allen Blount, son of Mr. and Mrs. Odis King and Mr. And Mrs. Carl Tillman Blount, all of Fleming. The bride’s paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J. Lillard. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. Frank Brinson of Lyons and the late Mrs. Frances Brinson.
She is a 1993 graduate of Toombs County High School and a 1998 graduate of Georgia Southern University where she graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in sociology. She works at Concerted Services, Inc. as a care coordinator.
The groom is the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Tinley Blount of Fleming and the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Allen Rogers, also of Fleming.
He is a 1985 graduate of Bradwell Institute and is currently employed with Food Lion in Hinesville as the market manager. He also serves as chief of the Fleming Fire and Rescue Department.
The wedding is for June 13, at Harden’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Lyons.
