Glen and Maureen Jenkinson of Hinesville are honored to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Christine Jenkinson to Allan Lee “AJ” Schlegel Jr., son of Teresa and Matthew Miller of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Allan and Casey Schlegel of Jacksonville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mildred Jenkinson of Hinesville and the late Walter Jack Jenkinson and Jean Gendron of Hinesville, and the late Don Gendron. She is a 2006 graduate of Liberty County High School. She currently attends Georgia Southern University and will graduate in spring 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Carolyn Lenley of Diamond Head, Miss., and Howard Schlegel of Wake Forest, N.C., and Mildred Handfelder of Dayton, Ohio, and the late Charles Robbins.
He is a 2004 graduate of Beaver Creek High School. He is serving in the U.S. Army in the military police in Stuttgart, Germany.
The couple will be married Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Hinesville.
