Obama win would further country's demise

Editor, This is one of the most important articles I have ever written. It has to do with the upcoming election.
This is, by far, one of the most important — if not the most important — election ever to be held in the United States. Whether we remain united as a country remains to be seen, based on the outcome of this election.
This election is about so much more than your political party.
It is about so much more than which candidate is a better speaker/orator.
This election is about so much more than who you think has the experience necessary for this job.
This election is about America and the path this great country will travel down in the immediate future.
The moral decline during the past two or three decades can be defended by none, argued by none. America is on the path to destruction.
To introduce and/or continue on the proposed path — toward socialism, which is what candidate Obama wants to bring about — will lead to the fall of this country in our children’s lifetime.
As a political science major, I have studied the various models of government; democracy far exceeds the tenets of any other form of government, with respect to the freedoms and opportunities enjoyed by its citizens. America is the world’s greatest democracy ever, but that can change.
According to Scottish Professor Alexander Tyler of the University of Edenberg’s history department:
“A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidate(s) who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
• From bondage to spiritual faith
• From spiritual faith to great courage
• From courage to liberty
• From liberty to abundance
• From abundance to complacency
• From complacency to apathy
• From apathy to dependence
• From dependence back into bondage

What point do you believe we are at?
Professor Olson of the University of Hemline Law School in St. Paul, Minn., goes further in looking at the 2000 election.
• Number of states won by Gore: 19, Bush: 29
• Square miles of land won by Gore: 580,000, Bush: 2,427,000
• Population of counties won by Gore: 127 million, Bush: 143 million
• Murder rate per 100,000 residents in those counties won by Gore: 13.2, Bush: 2.1
“In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly land owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore’s territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare.”
We believe the United States is somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Olson’s model — with more than 40 percent of the nation’s population already having reached the governmental dependence phase.
If candidate Obama is elected, he will further this dependency with the socialization of health care, medicine, housing and undoubtedly the call for reparations (another gift). He has already stated he will sign into law, in his first 100 days, the Freedom Act, which legalizes all abortion — to include partial birth abortion — and will do so with taxpayer funds, further eroding our personal responsibilities and morals.
He will call for the legalization of America’s illegal immigrants, while opening the borders to more undocumented immigration, which will further the cycle of dependency and increase the numbers of voters calling for more “gifts” from the government.
Can we really afford to take a chance on this candidate? Are you willing to stake your children’s future on that chance?
Stand with us — with John McCain, who has always put “country first” — on Nov. 4. Our future depends on it!
