Editor, The committee of the Henry “Hank” White Memorial Scholarship Fund would like to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all participants in the third annual Henry “Hank” White Memorial Golf Tournament. This includes all of our major sponsors, hole sponsors, golfers, friends, family and businesses that donated monetary gifts and door prizes.
A special thanks to Franklin Toyota for automobile sponsorship for the hole-in-one prize and Keith Royal for his collaboration with Exotic Car Tours.
We also appreciate the Cherokee Rose Country Club for the use of the golf course for our tournament and First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for hosting and providing dinner after the tournament.
We would also like to thank the Coastal Courier and staff writer Andrea Washington for media coverage of the golf tournament.
We especially thank our special guests, LTC Whitney, CSM Durr and CSM Aarons for taking time out of their busy schedule to come out and support us by participating in the tournament. Their presence, generosity and sincere words of support helped make the tournament a great success.
As a result of your monetary gifts and contributions this year, the Henry “Hank” White Memorial Scholarship Committee is proud to announce that seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2008.
These scholarships will be used to aid qualified college bound seniors and others in the community as they pursue their secondary education. Details concerning the scholarships will be announced at a later date.
As we look to the future, we anticipate your continued support in helping to make the tournament a successful, annual event. Thank you again and may God bless you.
