Shoot for a Cure set for this weekend
The ninth annual Dorchester Sporting Clay and Fun Shoot, benefitting the American Diabetes Association, is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at the Dorchester Shooting Preserve in Midway.
The event, is part of the annual Liberty County Kiss-A-Pig Campaign.
The day’s events will include lunch, a silent auction and the clay shoot. Teams of four can register for $100. For more information, call Sheryl Rozier at 369-7634.

South Ga. hoops league starting
The South Georgia Basketball League is looking for teams for the upcoming summer program.
The games will take place at Myers Middle School in Savannah and run from May 21-July 9. It is open to boys and girls and will offer separate divisions for AAU/YBOA teams, community recreation teams and age specific teams. The entry fee is $200 with eight games and a postseason tournament guarantee. The deadline to enter is May 8.
