Derby Devils plan fundraiser
The Savannah Derby Devils will have a fundraiser and canned-good drive during their doubleheader at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at the Savannah Civic Center.
Those who bring at least one canned good item for donation to America’s Second Harvest will receive $1 off their ticket. That night’s raffle proceeds will go to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
Tickets are available through the Savannah Civic Center website at savannahcivic.com and box office. Admission ranges from $2 to $16 per ticket. Discount tickets are available for children, seniors, students, military and groups of 10 or more. The event includes live music from Portman’s New Horizon’s Band and an appearance by the Savannah Junior Roller Derby.

Hinesville Gators hosting tryouts
The Hinesville Gators will hold tryouts for their 11-and-under and 12-and-under boys’ and girls’ academy teams and the 13U, 14U and 16U girls and 17U and 19U boys’ select teams. The tryouts will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday June 5, at the St. James Sports Center’s soccer field.
