Scouts organizing golf tournament
The Boy Scouts of America will host the ninth annual Liberty District Golf Tournament on March 31 at Cherokee Rose Golf Club in Hinesville. The 2012 tournament is sponsored by Alltel Wireless. Individual or team entries are due by today. All funds go to support BSA programs. Fees are $50 for individuals and $200 for teams of four. Hole sponsorships are available for $125.

Football combine
is March 31 in RH
An Elite Scouting Services football combine will begin at 10 a.m. March 31 at Richmond Hill High School. The event is for high school players who want to play at the college level. MLK Jr. golf tournament slated for April 14
The eighth annual Liberty County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Golf Tournament and Scholarship Fundraiser is scheduled for April 14 at Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville.
Registration is open until Saturday, April 7 for individuals and teams. The fees are $50 per player or $200 per team.
Hole sponsorships are available and golfers will have the chance to win a brand new car sponsored by Hinesville Ford.
