Elizabeth Hodge and Maj. Michael Fitzgerald wed on July 7, 2007 in an afternoon ceremony.
The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Tim and Dr. Cindy Byler.
The bride is the daughter of Ed and Libby Hodge of Hinesville. She graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1998 and earned degrees from Oral Roberts University in 2002 and 2006.
The groom is the son of Keith and Patti Fitzgerald of Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from Missouri State University in 1998.
The bride chose Elana Hodge of Hinesville as her maid of honor. The groom selected Maj. Todd Bajakian of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., as his best man.
Also included in the ceremony were ringbearer Ben Schaffhauser and flower girl Grace Byler, both of Hinesville.
The newlyweds were honored with a reception at Fort Stewart’s Club Stewart following the ceremony.
The couple honeymooned in Washington state, where they first met at Fort Lewis. They will reside at Fort Hood, Texas, where the groom is currently stationed.
