Mrs. and Cpt. Matthew John Mesko
Caroline Rim and Cpt. Matthew John Mesko were united in marriage Dec. 13, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church in Savannah. The Rev. Stephen Williams officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taehwan “James” Rim of Hinesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jay Mesko of Port Huron, Mich., and formerly of Harrison Township, Mich.  
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless Vera Wang organza gown with a draped bustline, mermaid silhouette and custom organza waist corsage with an organza Cheryl King chapel-length veil with pencil edging. The bride wore Tacori chandelier earrings and silver Burberry sandals. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream calla lilies and orchids wrapped in ivory satin.
Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her sister, Elizabeth Rim. Matron of honor was Jennifer Lynn Sullivan, who also performed a reading at the ceremony. Bridesmaids were Heather Torre, Kathy Hong, Carol Susan Lewis and Jennifer Lindsey Catarino. The bride’s cousin, Allison Kubick, was a junior bridesmaid. The bridal party wore blue Vera Wang strapless gowns and carried bouquets of fuschia and pink calla lilies, pink amaryllis and green cymbidium orchids wrapped in platinum satin.
The groom’s brother, Jeffrey Mesko, served as best man. Groomsmen were Sean Sullivan, Craig Porter, Tyrone Jones, Robert Nahabedian, Andrew Wellbaum and Adam Roths. The bride’s cousin, Jared Kubick, served as a junior groomsman and ring bearer. Richard Montgomery and Gregory Couse served as ushers. The groom, groomsmen and fathers wore Calvin Klein black tuxedos with two-button lapels and platinum silver fullback vests and ties. Boutennieres were green cymbidium orchids wrapped in wire, with the fathers wearing pale pink lily boutennieres.
Following the ceremony, guests were taken by trolley to the Telfair Museum’s Jepson Center for the Arts in Savannah for a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.  
The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon to Rome, Italy, and their wedding will be featured in the fall/winter 2009 issue of The Knot magazine.
