Be content with who you are
pastor corner

I recently read a story of a lady who spent $30,000 so she could look like Kim Kardashian. Now, she has to spend the next few years paying it off.
When I read this, the first thing I thought was that this lady is unhappy with who she is and, secondly, is deceived in thinking that this automatically will bring her success and contentment. From what I’ve read, I’m not so sure Kardashian really is happy and content. She definitely has no type of peace and privacy.
Peace and happiness come from a relationship with God and being content with how God has made you. Psalm 139:14 states, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” You don’t have to look like Kardashian to be beautiful.
By the way, have you seen those praised as being beautiful without their makeup? You don’t have to have a big IQ to make smart decisions. You don’t have to be famous or popular to be somebody. God made you for a purpose. He gave you your personality, looks and brains to be able to fulfill your God-given purpose.
The key to life is not you changing who you are on the outside; it’s letting the Lord come into your life and change you on the inside so that you can use how he has made you for the benefit of you and others and for his praise.
You can live a life of contentment with who you are.
