You have one life to live

When you hear the words “one life to live” what does it mean to you? Does it always remind you of the soap opera or does it remind you that you have only one life?
I pray that you thought about your one life you have to live.
Have you ever done anything you wish you had not done or said? Bottom line you can’t go back and change what you have said or done.
How are you going to live and account for your one shot at life?
The Word tells us that everyone will be judged on their life. In Revelation 20:12 the Bible says, “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
Don’t misunderstand and think that you don’t have a chance to get the record corrected.  You can. This scripture is for those who do not accept Christ as their savior and continue to do those things you wished you would not have done (sin).
Those who want to change and stop doing those things can if they come to Jesus. We can’t blot out what’s written in the book but He can. Once you are born again you are a new creature in Christ.
The Bible also tells me that Jesus blots out those things/sin written in the book.
Am I saying that your brother will forget that you cursed at him yesterday? No. What I am saying is God will erase it from your record. You have a new life in God’s eyes.
Do you just ignore your brother? No. Tell your brother you are sorry and go on with your new life. That’s the big picture.
Jesus said, “Go and sin no more.” No matter what you have done, if you repent and give your life to Jesus he will erase the record and give you a new start.
Isn’t it good to know that you have another shot at getting it right? Keep in mind you don’t have forever and we don’t know when Jesus is coming back.
Why not get a fresh start? Remember, you only have one life to live. Be blessed.
