Inspectors take junk cars for charity

Through September, Hinesville’s code enforcement  office will be “collecting cars” for the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia.
Anyone interested may fill out the paperwork at the Department of Inspections from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Those who participate will be eligible for a tax deduction and will get rid of old vehicles, boats or mowers, and avoid being fined for harboring them.
Eighty percent of the proceeds go to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia.
Bring the title and the most current tag receipt. Odometer readings must be verified.
