Probate Judge Nancy Aspinwall was the guest speaker for the September Goldenheirs meeting.
Aspinwall emphasized the importance of filing the proper documents pertaining to a person’s wishes in the event of a disability or a worse situation.
She explained that there are three documents everyone needs to file: a will, financial power of attorney and a Georgia Advance Directive for Health Care. Each of these documents were explained in detail, with questions taken and answered. Each senior present received a packet containing the necessary information.
Goldenheirs is a senior group that meets the first Tuesday of each month at First Baptist Church, 220 E. Memorial Drive in Hinesville. A covered-dish lunch begins at noon, with a program of interest to seniors at 1 p.m.
All seniors are invited.
