The Bone & Joint Institute of South Georgia — which aims to provide convenient, comprehensive orthopedic services — opened its new Hinesville office Oct. 30 at 475 S. Main St., Suite A, next to West Rehab.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our new location in Hinesville and are so grateful for the continued support of our patients and the communities of Southeast Georgia,” Dr. J. Lex Kenerly III said. “We’ll continue to use our extensive experience and cutting-edge technology to provide patients in the Hinesville area (with) the expert, compassionate care and the personal attention they expect from us.

“We’re equally excited about Dr. Matt Valosen joining our team and being the face of our Hinesville office.”

Valosen, who will be seeing patients in the Hinesville office on Tuesdays and Fridays, began his career in the U.S. Army and previously was the chief of orthopedic surgical services at Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart.

He has extensive experience treating sports-related and traumatic injuries of the musculoskeletal system and specializes in arthroscopic approaches to most orthopedic conditions, joint replacement surgery and many other orthopedic surgical procedures.

The institute provides comprehensive orthopedic care and features a Joint Commission-accredited surgery center at the Jesup office, with digital surgical suites designed exclusively for orthopedic surgeries, on-site X-ray services and open MRI accredited by the American College of Radiology.
