Holbrook Pond off of Georgia Highway 144 will be the setting for the first Community Outdoor Health Expo — a day centered on health, wellness and prevention — from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 7.
Liberty Regional Medical Center and Winn Army Hospital are partnering with Fort Stewart’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program to bring this free expo to soldiers, families and the civilian community.
The expo will include interactive exercise classes such as Zumba, yoga and CrossFit. Liberty Regional and Fort Stewart’s Medical Department Activity will provide health wellness checks — cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure — and nutrition education.
Plus, there will be a farmers market, a 5K, a timed scavenger hunt and outdoor sports, including canoeing, horseshoes, kayaking, paintball and volleyball.
Kids are invited to bring their stuffed animals to the Little Patches Clinic for some tender loving care.
Vendors will have food items for purchase.
