Three walks and a wild pitch gave the Tide a 1-0 lead early in the bottom half of the inning before Lana Lewis singled to score two more runs.

Jersi Lester followed that up with another single RBI before Rilyn Williams doubled to make it 5-0. Gracie Wingate, who started in the circle for the Tide, got a sacrifice RBI before Alyssa Skipper singled and later scored on a wild pitch.

Catherine Sikes brought home another run on a sacrifice herself as the Tide led 9-0 going into the second inning.

Wingate record a strikeout in the top of the inning before the Tide came back up to bat in the bottom of the inning. Lester singled again and Williams followed that up with her own single.
