Dr. Thomas Chasse is moving from Maine to Southeast Georgia to join Wayne Memorial and St. Joseph’s/Candler Physician Specialty Associates.
The ear, nose and throat surgeon is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Chasse served on the clinical faculty of otolaryngology of Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also served as an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Professional recognitions include his selection as a member of the dean’s committee at the University of Massachusetts Medical School as well as chief of surgery at both Portsmouth Regional Hospital and York Hospital.
Chasse also was elected to two terms as president of the Maine Society of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and was selected as a member of the Order of the Cross and Crown Honor Society at Boston College.
After graduating magna cum laude from Boston College in 1976, Chasse earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine. He completed six years of ENT surgery training at UCLA and its affiliated hospitals.
As an ENT surgeon, Chasse specializes in the evaluation and treatment of nose and sinus issues, airway obstruction, hoarseness, tonsil and adenoid surgery, ear infections, surgery for dizziness, hearing loss and head and neck tumors.
