Long Co. girl wins Waycross pageant

Long County teen Shelby Mock recently won the overall queen title in the 2009 Miss Diamond USA Pageant in Waycross.  
Mock also won the prettiest smile, prettiest dress, most photogenic, most beautiful, prettiest eyes and best sportswear categories.  
The Long County High School junior took home a crown, trophies, banners, pageant jewelry, a diamond and sapphire bracelet and a Diamond USA Pageant garment bag.
When she’s not competing in pageants, Mock plays softball and cheers for her high school.  She also enjoys golf and fishing. She is the daughter of Andy and Kelli Mock.
“Shelby won overall out of 26 contestants. She worked hard to prepare for the pageant and she did an outstanding job. We are very proud of her,” Mock’s mother said.
Mock has also won the Miss Independence Pageant, the Miss County Line Barn Pageant and the Miss Ludowici Pageant.
