MIDWAY — The area’s newest stage company, “Scouts on Stage,” will host a kick-off barbecue fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Dorchester Village Center in Midway.
The cost is $5 per person and will benefit the stage company and its plans for a December production: “Yo-Ho-Ho — A Pirate’s Christmas,” an original musical written by Sue Gordon.
Additionally, Scouts on Stage is now looking for cast and crew members, as well as sponsors. Boy Scouts who participate will be able to earn both the Theatrical Merit Badge and the Music Merit Badge.
