Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Casey L. Hearn recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J.
Hearn and other recruits received instruction on the Coast Guard’s core values — honor, respect and devotion to duty — and how to apply them in their military performance and personal conduct. Hearn will join 36,000 other men and women who comprise the Coast Guard’s workforce.
He is the son of Jeana M. Cobb of Midway and Ronnie L. Hearn of Richmond Hill.
Hearn is a 2011 graduate of Richmond Hill High School.
Graves participates in training exercise
Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Bryan R. Graves and fellow sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans, home ported in San Diego, Calif., recently participated in detainee-handling training while conducting a two-week certification exercise off the coast of Southern California.
Graves is the son of Lori J. Graves of Allenhurst and Terrence R. Graves of Lakewood, Wash.
He is a 2006 graduate of Yelm High School in Yelm, Wash., and joined the Navy in August 2006.
