Army Pfc. Timothy C. McGruder recently graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus.
McGruder is the son of Latonya Brown of Hinesville and grandson of Shirley Leonard of Columbus.
He is a 2009 graduate of Blythewood (S.C.) High School.
