Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veraciaty, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

How long is this going to go on? We got the Hezbollah people and Hamas people visiting the White House all the time, and now Iran is in Venezuela building a missile base that’s aiming for the Panama Canal, Florida and the coast. How long are we going to be asleep?

Thank you to all the people — especially the employees who work at Chemtall — for stopping and helping my mother, who is 76 years old, when she almost had an accident because her tires rolled off of her car.

The Coastal Courier looks good with the new changes. Also would like to thank Hollie for her calendar. She does a good job putting as much as she can about the churches in there. We like the Coastal Courier.

I received a letter today from the city manager’s office informing us here on Highway 84 halfway in between Hinesville and Midway that we would no longer receive fire protection from the city of Hinesville. I wonder how they would like it if they had no fire protection. We’ll see if our taxes go down anywhere in the near future.
