Sound off for July 24
Placeholder Image

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

It appears all the Comcast customers in Hinesville had no service for over nine hours, from 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13. If you call 1-800-Comcast, they will decrease your July bill by $5. Comcast is not providing a promised service, so there’s no reason why we should pay for it.

All the Sound off calls in last Wednesday’s paper were about the little girls with the lemonade stand. Enough already. We’ve had enough of that for the past two issues of the newspaper.

I would like to thank the Coastal Courier for the calendar column and also for your Sound off. We like it.

This is to the Midway City Council: If your police department has solved so many crimes that you now have nothing better to do than focus on little girls selling lemonade, you have way too many police in your department.

I’ve read all the comments in the newspaper about the Midway Police Department. Do people not understand that these officers are only doing their job? I agree that we all used to sell lemonade when we were children, but this is a different world. It’s unsafe.
