To the person complaining about the birth announcements in the paper: I think a birth is something that’s supposed to be celebrated, not insulted. If you don’t like the names, don’t worry about it. If the names aren’t the same as the parents’, maybe they choose to keep their maiden name, like I did. Get a life. Apparently you have nothing better to complain about than birth announcements.

This is to the parent complaining about the teacher not emailing them about their child’s grade: No. 1, there is a system called Parent Portal. No. 2, communicate with your child. No. 3, set up a conference with your teacher. Stop complaining. Solve the problem.

I would like to know when it became law for the city council to decide that the churches should be involved with voting and politics. I thought that was against the law and they are tax-exempt because of this. It is sad that the city council of Hinesville decides to pass a law regarding the Sabbath. Isn’t that involving religion and state politics?

Wayne County Hospital in Jesup is a good hospital. I had to go there the other day for kidney stone surgery for kidney stones. The hospital up there is very good. Wayne County Hospital, keep up the good work.

If you don’t like visiting people that own inside dogs and it makes you quote “sick,” don’t go visit, because, after all, the dogs live there, you don’t. So if you don’t like the smell, don’t visit people with dogs.

A solution when they catch terrorists shooting soldiers: give them a quick trial and then put them on a firing squad in front of TV and let everyone see that we’re not going to put up with them doing that.

I have a cousin who has cancer, and they gave her a wig that was all matted up. They need to let people know that they need stuff like that for people who have cancer, because I’m quite sure there are other people who would donate. The county people need to reach out and let people know that they need wigs so we can donate.

So the only way the city council could budget their money is by increasing the people of Hinesville’s bills. What is wrong with you? Many of us are on limited budgets. The food costs have gone up. And that’s the only way you could have done it? I bet you gave the councilmen their raise, didn’t you?

To the 20-year Hinesville/Liberty County resident ragging on the police department: How about you stop watching “CSI” and understand that incidents don’t get solved in 45 minutes.

Can someone please explain to me how the Liberty County School System can charge adult prices and you get the same thing that the kids are getting for lunch, the exact same amount? I know I’m not the only parent that goes to eat lunch with their kid that has noticed this. This has to be illegal. This is not right.
