Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

For one to suggest that all incumbents be voted out is absolutely absurd. Imagine the government of such a fast-growing city being run by novice politicians. Halloween has just passed, but that would be real scary and embarrassing.

I leave my house over 30 minutes early every morning, but this particular morning, the Snelson-Golden crossing guards were stopping traffic every five cars to let school buses out and kept the oncoming traffic waiting over 15 minutes. So before jumping to the assumption that I leave my house late for work each day, you need to sit down.

To the Hinesville chief of police, why can’t you do something about the vagrants in the parks in the city instead of harassing soldiers and people running around here trying to earn a living? Take care of the vagrants. Clean up the parks. They’re nasty.

I was watching a TV show about adult children and their parents were buying houses for them, their parents were giving them jobs. What happened to adults? When you become an adult, you’re supposed to stand on your own two feet. When your parents pass away, then you’re just stuck. You can’t rely on yourself because you never have.
