The Hinesville Area Arts Council will have a Classical Music Concert in Main Street Park Sunday. The free afternoon concert begins at 3 and will feature the Savannah Sinfonietta. The flute and string trio will perform in the gazebo.
Also performing will be the Bradwell Institute chamber ensemble. The event is free and open to the public. It is suggested that concert-goers bring lawn chairs and refreshments.
The Sinfonietta is one of the South's premier classical ensembles. The organizers promise an exciting concert featuring selections from Johann Strauss to George Gershwin to Henry Mancini.
Festivities also will include a painting demonstration by Richmond Hill artist Wes Valentine. Valentine, a muralist, will start and complete a painting inspired by the performance. Also on display will be a collection of art created by The Hinesville Area Arts Council's art class students.
Main Street Park is next to The Coastal Bank. There's plenty of free parking around downtown. This event is presented by The Hinesville Area Arts Council.
