Memorial Day at Fort Morris

Liberty County's Revolutionary War site, Fort Morris State Historic Site, will mark Memorial Day with military and daily life demonstrations from that era.
The holiday is a set aside to remember all of those in the armed forces who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
On May 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fort Morris will present its annual Memorial Day Commemoration. The Friends of Fort Morris Cannon Crew will be give artillery demonstrations. Musket drills and soldier talks will also be presented. Picnickers are welcome.
Fort Morris is seven miles east of I-95's Midway exit, follow the brown Liberty Trail signs. Admission is $3 for adults, $2.50 for seniors (62 and older), $1.75 for youth (6-18), younger children 5 are free. On Monday all active duty military and their families  will be admitted free.
