Museums across Georgia will take part in Super Museum Sunday on Feb. 8. The Georgia Salzburger Society’s Museum will host the public from noon-5 p.m. Admission is free.
Visitors can tour the museum and view the path of the early Salzburger families as they journeyed to the new colony of Georgia in 1734 and made their home in Ebenezer. Viewers can see an original Salzburger home, take a walk around the historic grounds of Ebenezer, and admire the Jerusalem Church built by the Salzburgers in 1767-69.
The Georgia Salzburger Museum is on the bluff of the Savannah River, at 2980 Ebenezer Road, Georgia Highway 275, just north of Rincon.
