Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for the veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

I bought a 15-year driver's license, so I wouldn’t have to deal with the attitude of the people in the license office on Airport Road. They need to know the state is cutting back, and they need to treat people right.


This is to the idiot who said “Stars and Stripes” is the national anthem. It’s “The Star Spangled Banner.” Get your facts straight if you’re going to try to correct somebody.

Whether it's Kroger or Wal-Mart, I hope some store can come in and compete with the current grocery in Midway. Their prices are sky high.

Congratulations, Jon Long, on being grand marshal of the Hinesville Christmas parade. You did the hospital and civic clubs good.
