Here are some issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier is not saying they are true, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

The NAACP trying to get Carolyn Brown out is only condoning criminal behavior. This is no way to present yourself to upcoming people.

This is for the lady who always check the cars parked in yards all over Hinesville. I see deputies and police parking on the grass all over Hinesville. They should get tickets too. You need to check on that, lady.

I sure hope President Obama will stand by me if I conveniently forget to pay my taxes.

Parents, you need to talk to your young men about breaking into other people’s houses. Next time a trap may be set. You better stop while you’re ahead.

Just because your business is doing badly, doesn’t mean you have to be rude to people. If you keep being rude you’ll have to close down.

Just exactly where is the Liberty County welcome center? I haven’t seen it.

The new courthouse in Liberty County, I guess it’s a great thing. But think about it. You have roads around here that need to be paved. We can’t get a streetlight on 84 at McIntosh Lakes Road.

I wish they would put electronic marquees on 84 and 17 to warn about traffic delays for construction on Highway 196. We waste a lot of time, not knowing when we can travel that road.
