Savannah -- The Southern Women’s Show starts Friday, Feb. 6 and runs through
Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center!

 

The Concept:    Three days of fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, beauty tips, health screenings, decorating ideas and personal growth opportunities — all tailored especially for women.

 

Location:          Savannah International Trade & Convention Center

Highlights:       Thursday, February 5               10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The convention center becomes awash in a sea of pink as hundreds of exhibitors move in for one of Savannah’s largest consumer shows. Great opportunity for set up footage and photos.

 

Friday              10 a.m. Show Open

Hundreds of low country women line up to be among first to enter the show. Friday is Wear Red for Women Day at the show, part of national effort to raise awareness for women’s heart diseases.

 

Noon – Fido Fashion Show

Four legged friends from Liberty County Humane Shelter strut their stuff in a furry fashion show.

 

12:30 – Sue Whitney, “Junk Master”

Frequent Today Show contributor Sue Whitney brings her “junk market style” to Savannah. Sue repurposes “junk” into home interior ideas. She’ll show projects that help consumers right now.

 

1 p.m. – Carol Wior, creator of Slimsuit

Oprah and Good Morning America guest Carol Wior appears on stage to preview her 2009 “Slimsuit”™ collection, the “Slim Secrets” undergarments and a special “before and after” concept.

 

                        6:30 p.m. – Firefighter Fashion Show

Savannah’s finest bring the heat to the runway with the wildly popular fashion show/fundraiser where guests “fill the boot” to benefit Southeast Burn Center.

 

Saturday          12:30 and 2:30 p.m. – Sue Whitney “Junk Master”

1:30 p.m. – Rising country star Matt Martino from Nashville performs

1:30 p.m. – Ruby trainer Reese Brown shares fitness tips and behind the scenes dish

2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – Carol Wior creator of Slimsuit fashion show

5:30 p.m. - Firefighter Fashion Show

 

Sunday            12:30 p.m. – Ruby trainer Reese Brown shares fitness tips and behind the scenes dish

2 p.m. – Style Network’s Ruby Gettinger meets fans at Memorial Health area
