Grumpy Cat now has a whopping amount of cash to go along with its viral fame.

According to BBC, the owners of the cat who became a viral sensation in 2012 were recently awarded $710,000 in a case settled in a California federal dourt.

Grumpy Cat Limited sued the U.S. coffee company Grenade for violating an agreement over the cats image.

Grumpy Cat Limited sued when Grenade started selling T-shirt and roasted coffee that included the cats image, according to court documents shared by The Washington Post. The owners and Grenade agreed to only allow the cat's face to appear on iced coffee beverage packaging.

The judge sided with Grumpy Cat, telling Grenade to pay $710,001 in damages, according to court documents.

The cat first went viral in 2012 after owner Tabatha Bundesen posted a photo of her cat, Tardar Sauce, on Reddit. The picture showed Tardar scowling at the camera.

Since that time, Grumpy Cat has appeared everywhere. She made appearances on Today, Good Morning America and American Idol. She appeared in a Honey Nut Cheerios commercial and even wrote a book, according to CNN.

In 2013, coffee company Grenade Beverage agreed to a $150,000 deal to add the cats face to its iced coffee beverage packaging.

However, Grenade countersued the cats image company, saying that "Grumpy Cat had not held up their end of the deal to promote the drinks on social media, according to The Guardian.

Grenade said that Grumpy Cat only posted about the coffee 17 times. And the cats handlers didnt mention the coffee during an interview with Fox News, either, The Washington Post reported.

The coffee company also said Grumpy Cats company promised to be in a film with Will Ferrell and Jack Black, but that didnt happen. The two actors did sign on for a film in 2013, but it was never made.

Grumpy Cat later starred in Grumpy Cats Christmas back in 2014 for the Lifetime Network.

That film has a 30 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
