The fifth annual Scarecrow Stroll and Beggars Night organizers are seeking dancers and zombies for a “Thriller” performance and newly added Zombie Walk. The performance will take place in downtown Hinesville during the Halloween-themed evening, which runs from 4-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25. The performance starts at 6:15 p.m.
Inspirations Performance Studio, at 4215 W. Oglethorpe Highway, will host practices from 7-7:30 p.m. every Monday and from 6-6:45 p.m. every Wednesday starting Aug. 19. Anyone interested in attending should sign up by emailing discoverdowntown@coastalnow.net or calling 912-877-4332. No dance experience is required.
“Past Thriller performances have always been a big draw for the event and typically featured a local dance studio or downtown business. This year, after many requests, we decided to expand the performance to include all who are interested,” Hinesville Downtown Development Authority program assistant Katrina Barrow said.
Families who attend the Bradwell Park event also can expect to find beggars’ station, from which candy will be distributed, and additional activities hosted by downtown businesses and local organizations. Select activities will run until 10 p.m. Additional activities, times and an event map will be available closer to the event.
The event was created by the Hinesville Downtown Partners to provide residents and visitors with a fun, family oriented Halloween activity, according to Barrow.
