Hinesville’s largest free outdoor festival is back for another round in 2019, and the expanded event is just around the corner.

Join the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority (HDDA) Saturday, March 2 for a day of fun in the park at Bryant Commons with the 2019 Small World Festival from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be activities for the whole family to enjoy, including the World Marketplace, Field of Flags, Global Learning Village, International Car Show, live entertainment, International Food Court and a 5k run.

Music lovers should stick around from 2-6 p.m. and enjoy the community’s newest festival: the inaugural Hinesville Jazz & Music Festival, featuring jazz musicians from across Georgia and elsewhere.

The Small World Festival is a celebration of cultures from around the world. Each year, local group and organization participate in this celebration by performing during the festival and showcasing their cultural traditions in various ways – dance, song and storytelling. There are still spaces open for performers at this year’s festival. If you are interested in performing, complete an application and submit it to the HDDA by Friday, Feb.22. Details and policies can be found on the vendor application at hinesvilledowntown.com.

The HDDA is also seeking vendors for the following categories: the World Marketplace; live entertainment; and International Food Court vendors.

The World Marketplace is a bazaar-style area featuring original arts and crafts and authentic cultural merchandise. There is also limited space for other types of merchandise in this area, pending application approval by festival coordinators. Fees will be $100 for single spaces and $200 for double spaces. Details and policies can be found on the vendor application at hinesvilledowntown.com.

The Small World Festival’s International Food Court offers authentic foods from different cultures and countries for festival patrons to purchase, as well as some traditional and local festival foods. The HDDA is looking for additional food vendors for this event. Fees are $100 for single spaces and $200 for double spaces. Please note: submission of an application does not guarantee participation in this event. Vendors will be notified of their acceptance by Small World Festival staff. Vendors who are not selected will have their registration fees returned to them. More details and policies can be found on the vendor application at hinesvilledowntown.com.
