“As many of us enjoy time with friends and family during this Memorial Day weekend, may we remember the reason we celebrate and reflect on the men and women who have honorably served our country. We should be especially grateful to the many veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can experience the blessing of freedom. Our nation and our state are richer because of our servicemen and women,” Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle said in a released statement.
