A Bradwell Institute Spanish teacher will kick off the holiday with a $750,000 win. Hinesville resident Frank Boguszewski won his prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s holiday-themed instant game Jingle Jumbo Bucks.
Boguszewski, who has taught for 20 years, said he stopped for a newspaper at Friendly Express, 23 Talmadge Road in Walthourville, and bought the ticket.
He sat in his truck in the store’s parking lot just before dawn and scratched it.
“It was definitely dark, but I figured my eyes were bad,” he said. “I went home and woke up my son, daughter and my father.”
Boguszewski, 52, is thrilled.
“This will change our lives in the future,” he said. “We’ll just get our family set on the right path.”
Boguszewski has two children, ages 24 and 22, and  a 19-month-old granddaughter.
