The Coastal Bank's executive vice president and chief operating officer, Jim LaHaise, has been named to the Savannah Technical College Foundation Board of Directors. As part of Savannah Tech's board, LaHaise will help shape the vision and the future of this regional technical college.
"Savannah Technical College serves as an outstanding educational resource for the community and has a bright future ahead," LaHaise said. "I truly believe in the importance of education and am delighted to give back to the community by serving on the board of directors of this impressive educational institution."
A banking professional with 22 years of experience, LaHaise worked as the executive vice president for sales and performance management with RBC Centura Bank in Atlanta before joining The Coastal Bank in 2007. He also worked in Savannah's banking industry from 1996 to 2000, serving as the senior vice president of sales and service for AmeriBank, and as president of Middle Georgia Banking for Century South.
A native of Crookston, Minn., LaHaise is a 1983 graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston. He currently resides in Ardsley Park with his wife and their two children.
