Business leaders get taste of Liberty

Sho-Nuff BBQ won best overall and best main course at the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Taste of Liberty event Thursday evening.

The annual banquet was held at Bryant Commons and introduced the 2017 Chamber board and new chairperson.

Food was provided by The Pour House, Sho’Nuff Barbecue, Bojangles’ Famous Chicken and Biscuits, Smoking Pig, Lady J’s, Southern Sweets, Ardyss Life/KBell, JJ’s Bar and Grill and Chamber workers and volunteers.

While Sho’Nuff took the top two categories, Southern Sweets won for best desserts, JJ’s Bar and Grill took home the local flavor award and the treats provided by Ardyss Life/KBell won for best healthy option.

Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Leah Poole recognized outgoing member Felecia Boatwright and introduced 2016 Board Chairman Roger Hutchinson.

Hutchinson, now the immediate past president, thanked everyone for a successful year with the chamber

and introduced 2017 incoming Board Chair Karen Bell. He then had her take the Chamber oath.

Bell briefly addressed the audience and said she was eager to take on the task of being the new chairperson. She introduced the 2017 board and had them take their oath.
