SAVANNAH — The Coastal Bank announced that Marty Durrence has joined its team as the Liberty County market manager. In his new position, Durrence will oversee all operations for The Coastal Bank in Liberty County.
“We’re delighted to welcome such an accomplished banking professional to the Liberty County market,” said Hinesville attorney Billy N. Jones, who serves as a board member for The Coastal Bank. “A proven leader, Marty will work closely with the bank’s accomplished staff to service Liberty County’s growing banking needs.”
Before joining Coastal, Durrence served as vice president of the Park Avenue Bank in Statesboro and as a banking officer and branch coordinator of The Heritage Bank in Statesboro.
Durrence earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University in 1998. He is also a graduate of the Community Banking School.
Durrence is a member of both the Kiwanis Club and the Rotary Club, as well as a member of the National Homebuilders Association. He is involved with local youth sports teams and is an active member of his church.
Originally from Savannah, Durrence lives in Statesboro with his wife, Jenna, and their three daughters.
