There will be a workshop on how to get contracts and work on Fort Stewart on the post on Tuesday.
U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga. 1st) announced last week that the 2009 Vendor Fair and Business Expo will be in the Marne Club from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The event is hosted by the Fort Stewart Directorate of Contracting and the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and showcases key players from the business community.
“I strongly encourage all local businesses to take part of this unique opportunity,” Kingston said. “Whether you are thinking of starting your own business, applying for financial assistance or interested in government contract work, the information provided during this expo will prove to be a valuable resource.”
The expo offers free seminars through out the day and will feature speakers from the Small Business Administration, Small Business Assistance Corp., Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center and Savannah Small Business Development Center. More than 75 vendors will also be on site showcasing the latest products and services offered in the business market.
For more information, call Debbie Swindell, Fort Stewart Small Business specialist, at 767-8425 or the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce at 368-4445.
