In celebration of its 20th year as a real estate brokerage and appraisal service in eastern Liberty County, Islands Real Estate and Appraisal Co. has opened its new, 6,000 square foot office building on Highway 84 in Midway.
"This building underscores not only our commitment to our clients and customers, but also our confidence in Midway and the eastern end's potential to become a highly desirable anchor community within Coastal Georgia," owner Donald Boyce said. "We've been servicing the needs of Midway residents for 20 years, and this facility puts us in a better position to continue to service those needs well into the future."
In addition to the new building, the company is adding to its staff with the addition of both real property appraisers and salespeople. Danny Brant, previously with First Citizen's Bank and AgSouth Mortgage has joined the company as a real property appraiser. His experience in finance adds another perspective to the extensive background and experience of the appraisal department.
The sales department will soon be bringing in three to four new real estate salespeople.
"The growth that we've seen in Midway and the surrounding coastal area has been astounding" sales manager Brandon Boyce said. "Sawgrass Landing, Hickory Hill, Tradeport East, we feel that these projects are the tipping point for the city and we want to be ready for the additional capacity with enough qualified salespeople to handle the extra load with ease."
The company's new office is at 13053 East Oglethorpe Highway, less than a mile from I-95. Its Web site is www.islandsrealestate.net and they can be reached by phone at (912)884-5862.
