Leadership Liberty, sponsored by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, recently visited Atlanta to learn about state economic development as well as meet with their state legislators.
The group visited GEMC as well as the Georgia Power Resource Center for economic development to learn how they play a vital role in attracting industry and jobs to the state of Georgia and, by working with the Liberty County Development Authority, to Liberty County.
During the trip, group members also selected Daniel Clark of the Imprint Warehouse for class president and Bobby Ryon of Coastal Communications for vice president.
“They’ll be responsible for keeping the class together, coming up with new projects for them to work on and hopefully, along with the chamber, establish a youth leadership program,” chamber Executive Director Kenny Smiley said.
