Pioneer Services treats military families

For more than 10 years, Pioneer Services has given back to military families by handing out commissary gift certificates to those in need. Pioneer Services continues the tradition this year by giving nearly $20,000 in certificates. Dubbed the “Seasoned Greetings” program, the certificates will again help military families with food purchases during the holidays.
“Each office location custom-tailors its program to the military installations it serves,” Chief Operating Officer Joe Freeman said. “But no matter how the Pioneer Services teams choose to give the certificates out, the important thing is to give back to military families in need this holiday season.”
There will be more than 1,000 gift certificates handed out in 19 Pioneer Services offices during the months leading up to the holiday season. The certificates will be distributed in different ways in each market, with some locations giving them out in the office, and others handing them to military chaplains and support groups that will then distribute as they see fit.
“We were going to have hot dogs for Thanksgiving,” a specialist from Fort Belvoir said. “Instead we’re able to have a delicious turkey and all the extras. When it comes to caring, Pioneer Services is number one.”
The Seasoned Greetings program is another way that Pioneer Services, the military banking division of MidCountry Bank, offers responsible financial services and education to members of the Armed Forces that enhance their quality of life and financial independence. For more than 20 years, Pioneer Services has been a leader in military lending. They offer the protection and security of a personal loan with the speed and flexibility service members need. Through a network of offices and on the Internet, Pioneer Services offers loans, financial education programs, and supports military families and communities through a variety of partnerships, programs, and sponsorships.
