The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce had a grand opening and ribbon cutting on May 5 for Tammy’s Restaurant and Lounge, 818 E.G Miles Parkway, Hinesville.

Chamber CEO Leah Poole welcomed attendees and introduced owner Tamara Dixon and the speakers. Chamber Board Chairwoman Karen Bell congratulated Dixon on the opening and offered words of support and encouragement on behalf of the chamber board and staff.

"I initially opened my own business because I just got out of the military last week, and I wanted something of my own," Dixon said. "My family has a background in having their own business, and being the youngest member of the family, I wanted to do something of my own. I’ve always loved cooking, and I’ve always loved entertaining other people. Ever since I opened, I have received so much love and support from the community, and I want to keep that going."

Tammy’s Restaurant and Lounge provides a weekend lounge space for live-entertainment and parties. It has daily menu specials, and its menu features a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, seafood and steak.
