SNF, a global manufacturer of chemical products with operations in Liberty County and headquarters in Andrezieux, France, was recently named a recipient of the 2010 Crystal Peach Award by the Atlanta French-American Chamber of Commerce at an awards ceremony in Atlanta.
For the sixth year, the Atlanta FACC recognized one American company for its outbound investments in France and one French company for its inbound commitment to Georgia and the southeast. Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Enterprises was the American company honored, and Liberty County’s SNF was the French-based company recognized.
Ronald E. Tolley, chief executive officer of the Liberty County Development Authority, was asked by the Atlanta FACC to present the Crystal Peach Award to David Kaye, vice president of manufacturing for SNF Chemtall. Tolley said, “SNF has a been a valuable member of our existing industry base, and the company is very deserving of the Crystal Peach Award.
Since locating in Liberty County in 1986, SNF has made continued capital investment at the Riceboro facility, added approximately 1,000 jobs to the local economy, and been a good corporate citizen by supporting many community initiatives.”
The Crystal Peach Award is the second prestigious award won by SNF within the past year. Last fall, SNF was honored with the 2009 Governor’s International Award in the International Trade, small/medium business category.
